Aviation policy before Cabinet soon

The civil aviation policy is likely to come before the Cabinet next week, sources in the civil aviation ministry said. It may retain the proposal of auctioning unused bilateral rights.
According to sources, the proposal for auctioning the bilaterals will remain as part of the first civil aviation policy despite opposition from private airline firms. They contend that the proposal would favour foreign airlines, especially the gulf carriers.
