City gas distributor Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) today said its consolidated net profit for the September quarter doubled to Rs 416 crore on the back of improved volume and value of sales.
The company’s revenue from operations increased 19 per cent to Rs 1,873 crore during the second quarter (July-September) of the current financial year.
Overall sales volumes during the quarter rose 12 per cent to 605 million standard cubic meter (mmscm) while the value of sales during the quarter jumped 19 per cent to Rs 1,866 crore, as compared to the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
“Total gross sales value during this quarter is Rs 1,866 crore registering a growth of 19 per cent over sales turnover of Rs 1,564 crore shown in Q2 of FY19. Product wise, CNG recorded sales of Rs 1,438 crore, registering a growth of 22 per cent and PNG recorded sales of Rs 428 crore registering a growth of 10 per cent over the previous year,” the company said.
